Loading... Please wait...Our Crescent cushions are tapered to provide a shape that is very comfortable and supports the upper leg. Filled with eco-wool our crescent pillows provide soft comfort for sitting in meditation as well as many other advantages over other filling options available on the market today. In addition, crescent pillows are covered with the same cotton or raw silk material that we cover our Meditation Benches and Zabutons with, so you can have a matching set! Pair it with one of our zabutons for ultimate comfort during your meditation.
Our standard wool-filled crescent pillow is very soft and resilient, with about 4 inches of loft when in use.
The extra wool model offers a slightly firmer feel and has about 5 inches of loft when in use.
If you are unsure of which style to get consider how much heght you want from your cusion. From 3-4 inches we recommend the regular fill and from 4-6" the extra wool. The extra wool model is still soft to sit on - it is just denser fill so it keeps you higher.
Left to Right: Cotton Colors: Black, Burgundy, Sage, Chocolate, Golden Wheat, Natural, Purple, Blue, Navy, Light Blue. Silk Colors: Forest, Teal, Indigo (purple).
Comfort: Wool provides soft comfort for sitting in meditation. We feel wool is the ideal filling for a meditation pillow.
Light Weight: With just over 1 pound of filling in the standard crescent model it is 1/3 to 1/5 the weight of comparable pillows.
Eco-Friendly: Wool is renewable, our eco wool supports small farms raising sheep free range and without pesticides. For more details on this wonderful fiber see our note below.
Wool is unlike any other filling available in that it is light weight, does not compact in the same way cotton or kapok will, which gives the user support without compression.
Wool fibers last longer than most other fibers because it has a natural crimp that acts like a spring, constantly flexing and returning to its original shape.
Our eco-wool comes from small farms in Northern California. The wool produced is routinely checked for traces of pesticides and herbicides. It is washed and processed without bleach or other harsh chemicals. The detergent used to clean the wool leaves behind no detectable residue and is biodegradable.
In addition to the comfort benefits of sitting on wool it has been recommended by saints and rishis through the ages for it's quality of insulating the meditator from subtle energies emanating from the earth which tend to hold the consciousness down.

Couldn't decide on the crescent pillow or bench, but went with the crescent pillow and I made a good choice. Color is rich and comfort is very good for sitting long periods along with Zabuton. They look beautiful in my bedroom corner. I did not get extra fill and find I did not need it as support is excellent. I was sold when I also saw the materials these are made from - lovely. Yes these would make outstanding gifts.

I LOVE this crescent meditation cushion -- even more than the standing bench, which I really like a lot. Over the years, I've had a kapoc-filled zafu, a buckwheat hull-filled zafu, etc., but this one is by far my favorite. It's well-made and so comfortable. And I appreciate so much that it's filled with wool, an ideal meditation material.
On top of the deluxe zabuton, this cushion feels like I imagine meditating on a cloud would feel, but with enough support that I can effortlessly maintain good posture. Also, the wool really does keep its loft for years, making this an excellent investment; I've had mine for two years and it's still in great shape structurally.
I'm now buying another crescent (my cat decided to spray our meditation items, and I couldn't get the scent out!), because I enjoy the qualities it brings to meditation so much, I don't want to be without it.
